Mercer’s current treatment plan has the first 6-8 months of chemotherapy happening in Vancouver. This means his mom Georgie will stay with him and dad Christian will remain in Nanaimo with Mercer’s two brothers.
What happens after Vancouver treatment?
After 6-8 months at Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, Mercer will return to life in Nanaimo and do chemotherapy treatments less frequently during day or weekend trips to BCCH for another 16-18 months making a 2 year plan.
